电气工程及其自动化

“电气工程及其自动化”专业具有一支优秀的教学团队,现有副高级及以上职称的“双师型”教师16名,其中教授6名,副教授6名,硕士生导师3名,并正在陆续引进具有高学历、有丰富教学经验的优秀专业人才。专业实验室实验房面积2500平方米,建有电工实验室、电子实验室、电力电子实验室、电机拖动实验室、现代电力系统实验室、PLC实验室、过程控制实验室等专业基础实验室和专业实验室,拥有可编程序控制、模拟发电机、模拟电力系统、模拟变电站、继电保护等各类实验仪器、设备近850台(套),总价值约1100万元。这些实验室可承担微机原理,单片机原理与应用,自动控制原理、电力电子技术、电机学、电力拖动自动控制系统、电力系统稳态分析、电力系统暂态分析、发电厂电气部分、电力系统继电保护原理、电力系统自动化、工厂供电等课程的实验教学任务。同时建有8个相对稳定的校外实习基地,为学生提供了良好的实验、实习设施和条件。

电气工程及其自动化专业吸收了国内外多所院校同类专业的成功办学经验,结合我院的办学定位,形成了强电与弱电结合、电子与电气结合、软件与硬件结合、单元与系统结合的培养特色,该专业主要研究电能的产生、传输、使用及其控制,电力电子技术、工业自动化技术在生产、科研和生活中的应用;兼顾新技术、新方法、新工艺、新材料的应用研究。

电气工程及其自动化专业是电气信息类的首选专业,专业领域覆盖面大,涵盖了电力系统方向和电气工程自动化方向,培养从事与电气工程与自动化有关的电能的生产、传输和电力系统运行、电力电子技术应用、信息处理、试验分析、自动控制、电机与电器新产品的研制开发以及电子技术与计算机应用等领域工作的宽口径高级工程技术人才,是目前社会急需的通用性强、适应性广的专业。

随着经济的发展,本专业领域的专业人才将出现很大缺口,目前已出现人才供不应求的现象。本专业立足于以应用型人才为培养目标,以市场需求为导向,把学生的动手实践能力作为培养重点,努力适应市场需求。本科毕业后还可以继续修读研究生或出国深造,从事电气领域更高层次的研究工作。

Electrical Engineering and Automation(EEA)has an excellent teaching team,

Currently, there are 16 MEE associate professors or professors who have experiences in lecturing and engineering in MEE6 of them are professors, 6 of them are associate professors and 3 of them are master tutor. Continuous efforts have been made to introduce excellent teachers, and strengthen the academic competence of the staff to form a quality teaching team. The area of professional laboratory experiment is 2500 square meters,and are well equipped with Electrician Laboratory , Electronic Laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory, Motor Drive Laboratory, Modern Electric Power System  Laboratory,PLC Laboratory, Process Control Laboratory and other basic laboratory and professional laboratory and  have PLC, simulating generator, simulating power system, simulating substation and relay protection and various kinds of experimental instruments and equipment and the amount adds up to 850 sets , the total value of about 11 million yuan. All that can support the experimental session of the curricula and teaching task, such as Principle of Microcomputer, Principle and Application of MCU, Automatic Control, Power Electronics, Electrical Machine, Power Drive and Automatic Control System, Power System Steady-state Analysis, Power System Transient state Analysis, The Electrical Part of Power Plant, Principle of Relay Protection, Power System Automation and Power Supply. Meanwhile, 8 relatively stable off-campus internship bases have been established in cooperation with business to offer students good experimental facilities and the perfect opportunity for internship.

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation integrates successful education experience of many domestic and overseas schools and universities of the same major with educational aim of Tan Kah Kee College (TKK) to form the nurturing characteristics which combine strong electricity with weak electricity, electronics with electrical engineering, software with hardware, and unit with system. The primary research areas in Electrical Engineering and Automation are as follows: applications of power generation, transmission utilizationand control, and applications of power electronics and industrial automation technology in the production, research and daily life, as well as researches on the application of new techniques, new methods, new processes and new materials.

  Electrical Engineering and Automation is a top rank major in the Electrical information discipline, which covers two directions that is Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, to foster senior engineering and technology professionals in the broad fields, such as power generation, transmission and operation related to electrical engineering & automation, applications of power electronics, information processing, experimental analysis, automatic control , product research and development of new machine and electric appliance, electronic technology, and computer applications. At present, Electrical Engineering and Automation is a widely adaptive and versatile major needed in community.

With the growth of economy, professionals in the field of Electrical Engineering and Automation, now in short supply, will be in high demand. Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering aims to nurture application-oriented professionals, according to the needs of community and industry. Emphasis is placed on practical skills and efforts are made to meet the needs of the job market. Students can continue their graduate study or research in the area of Electrical Engineering after graduation.
